Nearly two-thirds of residents wouldn’t buy a property in 2021 without outside space (Rated People). An investor should also take this on board when considering where to invest as flats are always an attractive proposition, if you do not have any outdoor space, you may also be limiting your potential field of tenants. At WitLet, we find a house will , on average, earn a landlord £100-150 more than a flat per calendar month! This is quite a sizeable difference and does not take into account how many people would be looking at your investment to rent and therefore the lesser void periods!

Dataloft surveyed their agents with interesting results: sixty seven percent of buyers and sixty four percent of renters said a garden was important (Property Academy, 2020). While a balcony may appease some, the gardens in properties are really setting these properties apart from the rest as one can see!
